Barnard 30 is a dark nebula at Orion's head.
Becauseof the proximity to the Orion Nebula and low surface brightness, this target is rarely imaged.
B30 is part of the very large Sharpless nebula, Sh2-264.
B30 lies about 1300 light years from Earth.
Imaged with Boren-Simon 10" F/2.8 POWERNEWT Astrograph.
SBIG ST8300M camera with FW5 filterwheel and BAADER LRGB filters.
L = 60 minutes
RGB = 6 minutes each (BIN 2x2)
Total of 78 minutes.
NO HYDROGEN ALPHA!
