NGC 3293 or the Gem Cluster is a fine Open Cluster in the constellation of Carina. It is a bright, angularly round cluster only some 5 arc minutes across. Visible in this image is the extensive nebulous haze of NGC 3324 to the left of the Open Cluster. The whole area is awash with faint nebulousity which shows well with the Ha (Hydrogen Alpha) filter.
