Their bit - No. 6 (RCAF) Group - The RCAF contributed 14 Bomber Squadrons to RAF Bomber Command and 12 Fighter Squadrons. During the war 232,632 men and 17,030 women served in the RCAF, and 17,101 lost their lives

Two members of my extended family whose ancestor had emigrated to Canada in the 1850's died serving in the RCAF and one of my wife's relatives also.
