In the early 2000's I was a courier for a firm in The City. One day,my Boss, said"No work for you today, my au pair's parents are in town and you are going to show them around,as you'll know all the best bits. So, I chauferred them around central London. It was fun; different. As we drove up to Trafalgar Square , the au pair's father, who spoke no English, said, through his daughter,"What a wonderful place London is,everywhere there's something to remind us of France.Look ahead, a column with a statue of Napoleon on top; Bravo !"After I pointed out the reality of the situation, he kept quiet for the remainder of the day."
