A Japanese drum festival in Narita city is one of the largest in Japan. For 2 days the Naritasan Shishoji Temple and old Narita streets fill with people and drum music. It occurs once a year in spring (second weekend in April). There are performances on stages and streets, a holy fire concert and a parade.

The main event is a simultaneuos performance of about 300 musicians of different drum schools and all ages. It consists of the appreciation of nature and hope for world peace. The beats are really impressive!
