Kaieteur Falls and Orinduik Falls, Guyana (March 2013)

Kaieteur Falls and Orinduik Falls are among Guyana’s most beautiful waterfalls. They are quite different. Kaieteur Falls is the more dramatic with its sheer energy and 741 ft. drop, which is three times higher than Niagara Falls.
Its beauty is unspoiled since it is located in the heart of the rainforest on one of the world’s largest sandstone plateaus. There are no tourist shops there; it looks the way that nature created it. The majesty of Kaieteur is a wondrous experience. Orinduik Falls is different from Kaieteur Falls, being a lower, wider, multi-tiered series of cascades. Its biggest appeal is that you can swim under the cascading falls while cooling off in the refreshing water. Orinduik falls is located in the Jasper Hills on the Guyana’s Brazilian border with beautiful scenery of savannahs and mountains. Often, both falls are offered in a one-day tour, guaranteeing a full day of adventure awe-inspiring beauty.
