SALVATION MOUNTAIN- -SLAB CITY
Fantastic impressions offering us a real sense of the place. VV
Seen this chap on TV. Quite an accomplishment. Best J
Cool shots that capture the spirit nicely. Best J
I think you've really captured the spirit of this place and people. It looks a lot like It was portraid in the movie 'Into the Wild'..
Nice additions to this gallery Lee, love the portraits! Tried to vote, but I guess I already have.
Interesting gallery! Well done! V.
One of the national TV news organizations must have been looking at this gallery, Lee, and gotten inspired. They ran a short story tonight about Slab City, with an interview with a family that had lost their jobs, house, etc. and was doing their best to survive there in Slab City. It mentioned the lack of water, electricity, sewage, etc. and most of what you mention in your introduction. Shades of the 1930s, Great Depression, and Dust Bowl children.
Impressive imagery : you knew how to take the great personality of this man, and the atmosphere of the place, in a unique and remarkable way. Congratulations, Lee. BV.

Great gallery Lee, it really captures the moods and sights of Imperial. Hope you add lots more. "V"
We're going out again soon, definitely before it's 110F every day. :)
You have captured this place in a fantastic and unique way. Magnificent work ~V~
what whimsical and powerful capture of this bizarre place! V
Wonderful! I love shooting in this neck of the woods, you've inspired me to go back! V.
Barry, yes it did smell , but we're no longer there so the air is once again fresh and pure at the Salton Sea.
When Lee enters the desert, wonderful images happen. Thanks for the sweat and wear on the gear. V
Neat Gallery does it still stink there?
Superb shots compilation!

I've seen a bent kazoo. Yowie Zowie.
Great stuff, Lee. As always.
Dan, I'll be there but....my Kazoo is still in the shop, it needs extensive repair work after an unavoidable New Years Eve incident. A bent Kazoo is a horrible thing to behold.
Well I hope you're planning on joining us out there on the 17th.
Already tuning up my kazoo for the talent show.
Great and original work so far. V
