Salt River Pass, elevation 7,630 feet
From this point water flows north to the Snake River and the Pacific Ocean; or south to the Bear River and into Great Salt Lake.
In the middle ground are remains of Lander Cutoff, used from 1857 to 1912 by emigrant wagon trains to rejoin the Oregon Trail in Idaho.
