When I went to Ireland for my nephews wedding one of the things I was really looking forward was bringing back some memories from my youth. As a family we spent the entire 7 week summer holidays in this village where my Dad grew up, I clearly remember walking to this river and bridge most days to play around this area and mess about in the river, we used to build bridges out of planks of wood across the arches of the bridge. The main village street has not changed much and still has the same public houses including Fortunes Bar and Goslins Bar where we enjoyed the crack and a good pint, it has gone bigger on the outskirts though with many new and opulent properties.
I am away for a few days now to stay on the Queens estate at Sandringham in Norfolk to create more memories.
