09/24/2012 - Around 1500 hours on the afternoon of Monday, September 24, 2012 the Holbrook Fire Department received a walk-in report of a structure fire at 289 North Franklin Street, Route-37. Companies arrived to find nothing showing from a three story wood frame dwelling. When crews entered the structure, they found a fire on the third floor and requested a line to the fire. A hand line was stretched to the top floor. While companies were battling the blaze on the top floor, they noticed that they also had fire on the floor below them. The crew backed out, and attacked the fire on floor two. A working fire was requested, and a Randolph engine company, and Avon tower responded to the scene. The fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported. The Massachusetts State Fire Marshall's office was requested to respond to investigate the fire.
