The local city inlet - the connecting 'road' from the intercoastal waterway to the ocean for boaters. Our coastal cities are lined with canals and waterways - we are cities of the sea. There's not much to it - a small parking lot just off the inlet bridge for the tiny marina, and a fishing pier. A true local joint. The dinosaur-age pelicans seem like two old men, watching traffic pass them by, largely ignored by pedestrians and boaters alike. But a tourist to our town would be fascinated by these large approachable beasts and the parade of boats fighting the rush of the ocean tides.
