JP, wonderful! Love it.

Very cool capture of those shadows. Looks kind of like a strip of film.

Very cool capture - really interesting shadows!

Very intriguing shadowplay - it does come off as cells of film in sequence. The glint of red in the foreground breaks the B&W with a splash of color.

Interesting, John, I like that experimentation. It winds up looking like Abel Gance meets *Seventh Seal*.

Like shadow cinema, I really like the central portion of this image. I tried cropping that part out and looking at it, but you are right, it's more amazing when you see where the photo was taken. I tried a wild variant, in the demo folder:http://www.pbase.com/stfchallenge/image/90225788 Unfortunately, now it's the header for the demo folder. I was trying to stress the cinematic nature of the image. I think the two shadows on either end are the most evocative, so I put the setting in the middle....jrdu

Thanks Frank & Lora. What's most interesting for me is how each segment breaks off into its own little theater, so that the 2nd from the left becomes a laughing woman & the one just to the right is a gape-mouthed monster about to devour something. None of it anticipated, of course. Thank god for surprises.

I like this jp, it's very interesting to try and figure out exactly who or what part of a person each shadow is depicting. Lora

Wow, cool shot, jp! The diagonals make a great composition and the shadows are fascinating.

At the risk of sounding vain, I must admit I really like how this turned out.
