This is a picture of my Grandmother. She was a fantastic artist! When she started painting parasols at Silver Dollar City, she would use paint brushes and acrylic paint, just like she was painting a canvas and they were so beautiful! As time went on and demand increased, she eventually switched to the paint pens she is using in this photo. They were faster but did limit her abilities some. Thank you for posting this great picture! She passed away March 2013.

Thanks Katherine, for your encouraging comment. I shot this at one of Silver Dollar City's music & crafts festivals in Branson, Missouri. I love their yearly festivals, but not the crowds they attract :-)

Very nice capture and great entry for the theme - those are really pretty parasols! I really like that white and pink one in the foreground! Where is this?
