Hi GK, I don't know about living the dream but it sure can be hard work at times and it can get repetitive, so I am continually looking for new ideas that can be shot in-studio or in a client's home without carrying too much equipment or props. My poor long suffering partner is the guinea pig for many of my test shots but, she is definitely the best 'prop' in the box! - Tony

Ahhh - i get it now. something about that door has not been making sense with the positioning of the handle and the lack of hinges. thanks for the explanation. You are probably living the dreams of most (male) photographers :). Good luck! ~ gk

Hi Gaurav, you're right of course but the shot was an idea that I had in mind for a certain theme - I usually shoot very respectable private boudoir portfolios for ladies ( mostly married) both in-studio and in their homes. This shot was a quicky test shot with my partner to see if my idea would work - something I'm always doing!. I popped out and purchased a blind and simply strung it over the doorway and fired a small flash with snoot to get the effect. I only shoot with MF neg film and use the A2 as a polarid substitute.Because of client privacy, I can never show my mono images. Tony

Tony - your model is beautiful, and the idea is great. some how the door does not fit in this image and is a little distracting - a smooth surface might be better....

Hi Jerry..please forgive my mistake - I forgot there was a time-frame. I've tried to delete it from the Eligible gallery but to no avail - please do the honours!

Another great study of light on this lovely model's figure, Tony.
Since the image has no date attached, I assume you didn't intend it to also be entered in the Eligible Gallery, so I took the liberty of removing it from that gallery. If it was taken during the Challenge period, e.g. since March 8, and you want to provide confirmation of that, please let me know and we can reinstate it there.

Why?

For the effect of light on the human figure, might I suggest examining the works of Edward Weston and Bill Brandt.
