Fruit Trees
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

These are two "Christmas trees" studded with apples and pomegranates. I suppose these are all sort of silly pictures, but with construction going on in my kitchen and stresses at work, I'm only able at the moment to post things I manage to find around me on my seemingly rare excursions out of the house these days :-).

Nice composition - I like the reds and greens, and the pinecone in the corner!

I like it too, Helen...the apples and pomegranates work well together to create the two similar trees. Nice lighting and color here. That pine cone does add a touch of the unexpected...and makes the viewer think outside the frame. A unique subject choice...& a nice shot, Helen. MFC

I'd say you're doing just fine close to home, Helen! This one's great, nice pattern of red objects nestled in green, and that cone in the corner is just perfect to throw the static balance off-kilter. It's a great shot!
