In a Row
by photocat37

These are 3 out of a set of 5 hand painted nesting dolls my brother-in-law bought when he was in Russia doing missionary work. The amount of detail work on them is amazing. The "scene" on the front of each one appears to be of a well known or historical location in Russia.

Photocat37 - I like your choice of DoF and background colour here - they really draw focus to the front doll and lead the eye towards the back. The dolls frame the painted building scene giving it an almost tunnel-like feel. Well done.

Great color and light!

I like the blue background. With Yuri's photos for my educational background, I think that these faces are a good depiction of Russian girls. Nice idea and well done.

Good use of color, especially the background. The shallow focus also force a bit of perspective to add depth to the shot.

Beautiful symmetry and color contrast here, photocat37...nice lighting too. The DOF is especially effective in your line-up. Your "three-in-a-row" arrangement makes these lovely pieces really interesting to look at. Can you tell me a little more about them? Good idea...nicely done. MFC
