Claes Oldenburg is best known for his ingenious, oversized renditions of ordinary objects such as this Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture located at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. This man was a part of a crew that was cleaning the cherry.

Very nice, pearl, the color is great and that apple is wonderful. I too like the uncropped version best. At first I wasn't sure I liked the cleaner, but I do feel it lends a sense of perspective. Nice work! Helen

Personally I prefer the original, probably because it shows more of the cherry. The man doing the cleaning is necessary to give the viewer a sense of scale and to me does not distract a bit from the image. I see no reason to eliminate part of him. Just my opinion of course, I'm sure others will feel differently ;-) Also, one really cool thing about this image is that elevated work platforms, such as the man is using here, are often referred to as "cherry pickers". I did crop them 2 times, one slightly more than the other. The croppings are posted in Demo Gallery. I'd love feedback comparing them to this image. Pearl

funny subject! I like it , may be I would have cropped the very bottom..., which would give the man a more undefined attitude...I mean just at the end of his shirt leaf... cheers Barbara
