I like the small, ornate church nestled in between larger and at least in one case modern, nondescript buildings. Nice contrast you've captured! Helen

I like the small building, serving for the spirits surrounded by the big ones, serving for the bodies. Barbara, please check your pictures: the starting date for "eligible" is 15th June, and your shots seem to be earlier. Regards, MCsaba

Thank you Adam for your comments... Back home now, so no way do redo the shot, my intention was to show how necleted and odd these churches just stand there in the middle of a lively , busy town, which seem to forget about them...

Is the horizon straight? The first thing that hits me about this shot is that everything appears tilted left to right. The church is also obscured by everything around it, from the tree to the rubbish skip to the people. Is this the intention? These factors help create the impression that the church is somewhat neglected, surpassed by bigger and 'better' things, but this isn't reinforced by other factors int he image. The sky is somewhat blown out and the lighting flat and harsh - it doen nothing to seperate the church from the surrounding area. I do like your central placement of the church and the proliferation of details available here, people to look at, shop windows to peer into. Sharpness is good - there's plenty of detail in the stonework. I'd improve this shot mainly by shooting at a different time of day - it's a cliche but sunrise and sunset do give pleasant lighting and I think your shot would benifit from this. I'd wait for some of the people to pass and perhaps choose a different perspective - getting closer to the church and using a wider angle would remove a lot of the distractions - if that's what you intend to do.
