A mood very befitting of a cat, Ted... dark and mysterious. Nice work!

Great image, great expression on the cute kitty face, nice composition, lighting and DOF. You did one great job on this!

Ted.Sz: Textures, composition, title all fall into perfect synch in this great piece. Great that you kept it on the dark end, it preserves the white detail nicely. Fremiet

Very sweet shot - I love the cute expression and the light on the whiskers! I'm amazed you were able to get the shot before the kitty ran away..

An absolutely beautiful head&shoulder portrait. I am wondering how you did manage to get your model steady and look so karizmatik. Great work!

Awwww - so cute. How did you sweet-talk this kitty into allowing you to do this! Bev

Ted,
Cute shot. I will have to try this with my kitties for Christmas!

Ted, Great photo. The cat is wonderful and the whiskers so sharp. Thanks for letting us know how you got the hat on the cat. That is not easy to do and then to take a great photo is even more difficult. I really like how you framed the pic.

What a cute shot Ted. I'd never be able to do this with my cats. I like the composition, the furry cat, and the furry hat. --Melanie

Ann, it took 3 people to make this shot. My daughter held the cat (she's her sister), while my son placed the hat on the cat. Few seconds later it was all over and the cat gone, angry that we ambushed it like that ;-)

Very very cute. You'd never get a hat on my girls! Glad you managed it with your great cat. Ann C

I love this, Ted! Very nice light and color, and the pose reminds me of a serious people portrait, sort of like the shots you see of brides. What a sweetie as well! Helen

Ted, I really like the mood lighting here and the wonderful composition. The textures and coloring of the hat go so well with the kitty, and those sharp whiskers contrast nicely with the dark background. These kind of shots are so hard to capture...you did a great job with it. A lovely holiday greeting card. MFC

I swear I entered some comments on this earlier but now it's gone (maybe I didn't press enter?). Ok, so let me do it again:)

This is nice take on the theme, Ted. I'd say that red hat made this image. I like the composition. The lighting is dramatic and adds that pensive mood. I also like the sharpness of the cat's features especially its whiskers.
