Ed, I like the bold color and the central detail of the main flower. I agree that yellows are hard to capture well & that your exposure is really good here. (*)I like the balance of your shot composed "as is", but I can also imagine another, more "in your face" crop that might include only the central flower with all the petals exiting the frame...like a sunburst...just an idea to play with if you feel like it. MFC

I always find photographing bright yellow flowers to be tricky. You did good on your exposure here. However, there's a small portion that's a bit overblown (towards the lower left of the stamen) - this can be easily fixed or healed in PS. Nonetheless, it is a refeshing photo.
