Nice shot! I don't know what a water skipper is (a bug?), but the shadow looks like paw prints in the water.

Thanks everyone. Cheryl, these are the rings caused by the movement of a water skipper on the water's surface. The odd little shadow in the lower left is the shadow cast by the water skipper. I saw symmetry in the rings themselves, but I suppose the difference in lighting on the left and right--makes the rings (and symmetry) less obvious. Melanie
