Harry, sometimes I think that monochroming or selectively desaturating is overdone. Here it works very well although I might have cropped a bit more on the left.....but I'd have to see it. Striking image. Fremiet

Thanks Harry ... if you did post an alternative version I did not find it in the forum ... I guess there are so many threads that it is quite difficult.

Miguel, Thanks for your comments they are really helpful. I tried a straight B&W treatment but the father and son didn't stand out enough for what I'm trying to do with the shot. I had the same problem with the color version also hence the color and B&W version. However your comment led me to try something else that worked pretty well. I'll try to post it on the forum tomorrow (Wednesday) Harry

I really like what you have done here. The BW shows age, the color points to youth. Very creative! Meem

Harry,

This is a very nice image ... but I think I would like more all in B/W ... your were able to create a great moody soft focus at the background and I guess that if you keep the main subjects sharp but in B/W the image might be better that it is now (Just an idea).

LOL you are right - great catch and nice how you combined B/W with color, very effective...Bee
