Heh heh heh, well they're definitely well hidden;). [*]Intriguing idea xsdg; but I think I too would prefer to see 'it' stand out a bit more. Perhaps my monitor simply needs to be recalibrated :). Melanie (mlynn)

It's a 1997 Z3 roadster, looking from the left rear forward along the left side. The top is down, but the window is up.

I've found that one of the problems with this type of image is that it really emphasizes the incorrect calibration of various displays (as I found after completing all my post-processing on an LCD). At first, the picture was pitch-black when viewed on my (admittedly cheap) CRT. After doing a quick calibration of my monitor (with help from various websites that I found on google), I could barely see the hilights of the image. Consequently, I upped the levels until I could reliably see the hilights, but not so much that the I would consider the image "bright."

One of the calibration sites I found very straightforward and helpful was http://www.mindspring.com/~woharris/cal.htm). Specifically, make sure you can differentiate between the darkest and next-to-darkest squares.

Nice Vette(?) Had to boost those levels to see what I was looking at though ;) - Simon Bennett.

i've looked at this 5 times - can't see anything. what's it supposed to be? thanks...

Yes, it's better now, though I'd like the highlights to be even stronger. I checked the first version too, through post processing and I did see a nice car. :) -Arn

ok... I messed with the levels a bit more, and now it should be easier to see with a CRT; sorry for the messup earlier

wow... I did all the post-processing and whatnot on my laptop (LCD screen) and the hilights were plainly visible. Now I look with my monitor and it's all black. I'll have to increase the brightness a tad for the monitor-users out there methinks :o/

Is this a monitor calibration test? :D -Arn
