Truly the simplification is taken to the extreme here! There is no choise for the viewer but to concentrate on the elements provided.

Thank you all for your comments! It came into my mind to go for some high key portrait at the end of the day, after taking a few shots in the city (my previous entries). This is what I love about the digital life, it provides me all the freedom to manipulate an image. Thus it was more processing to achieve a maximum reduction.

Frank, this is a good example of extreme minimalism...totally high key with only a faint, facial, silhouette outline and a single side-viewed eye visible within the composition . It's said that the eye is the window to the soul, and this interpretation guides me toward the soul of a child. I love the dark pupil & lashes here... and the near-translucency of the anterior chamber (front part of the eye). A unique, extreme, and creative interpretation of the theme...nicely done, Frank! MFC

It's awesome. It's a wonderful metaphor for childhood. His shape is only penciled in but his pupil is drinking in the lessons of the world. I'm unworthy to comment on this shot, Frank. I'm in awe.

Brilliant, Frank. You never cease to surprise.
Thank you for that.
