I like this .... and appreciate the woman, child and water. I would crop down to half way down the long stone hanging between the heads, and would crop in from the right to leave equal rubble on the right at the bottom of the stairs as the left. My reasoning is the following .. the emotional focus is the hand of the woman with the eyes of both looking at it. Needs to be bigger in the frame and because it is light, the darkness far right of the frame is pulling the eye away. Also the strong water is not where the emotional action is and therefore needs to be given a strong 'framing' job rather than being allowed to grab the eye too much by having space on both sides. You did captivate my eye with this one .. and though I typically do not like bits of colour remaining in a B and W picture, I think that what you did here adds a bit of dimensionality ... a 'sticking-out-ness' to the subjects. I am going to review my own notions of colour in B and W as a result of whqt you have shown me here. Thank you.
