Warthog Scull

Although living in Africa I am not a hunter, nor do I favour hunting. So when a hunter friend presented me with a Warthog head, I did not know what to do with it. My first thought was to dump the maggot infested head, but I decided to boil it an create something, I am pleased I did. I share the result.

Hi Ernest ... I hereby disassaocate my appreciation of your picture with the story of its taking ... or I will run to the bathroom and perform the Houdidni 'Key-Regurgitation' but in this case, without a key. I like the way everything about the light here is well controlled ... this done in your bedroom studio? The skull itself seems to have taken on a black-stone like quality ... is it actually dark in colour?
