What is it about bicycles that give images such magic, along with your own fabulous way of seeing somerthing special in the everyday and turning them into something special.

You use the shadows so well..it's so easy to see the light, but the dark is more elusive. These are superb.

this would make a nice cover for a book. There is a thrre hundred page volume behind this simple scene.

Storing the bike in front of this religious painting tells a lot. I can imagine a place full of history, the declining religion in Europe, displaced by modernity. Excellent toning and darkness.

So much to learn from your photography, Sue. This is quite a simple scene, but the way you've handled the lighting and tonality, and even the slightly off-kilter angle in the composition turn it into a really lovely, wistful memory. One feels pulled into the scene and perhaps back in time. Really just top notch work. V!

It`s so interesting to see old europe through your eyes Sue! Fantastic light and mood in this recent monochrome work! A classic!
