So I crossed the Lao-Cambodia border and ended up at Stung Treng, a small Mekong town with very little there. A couple of guest houses, a few old temples, and a decent restaurant or two. It was here that I began asking about how to get to the old Khmer temples I planned on seeing: Preah Khan, Koh Ker and Preah Vihear. Everyone in town told me to forget it. There'd been too much rain and the roads were all out. I began to despair and consulted my LP thinking maybe I'd re-plan the next couple of weeks.
Market
Government buildings
Mekong transport
Villa, in town
Market residue
More, with slightly more colorful umbrellas
Went for a motorbike ride outside town
The countryside was quite nice, unlike the town
Big Kampuchean sky
House
We liked these trees but got remarkably few decent photos of them.
