Ah, Segou. I was stuck here for four days trying to get money from the banks or from the ATMs. If you're going to be travelling in Mali, know that your Visa Electron card will NOT WORK. And your mastercard is completely useless. Bring cash, and plenty of it. Having said that, I did like Segou. It's lazy and has a couple of high end hotels where you can have excellent meals and the countryside is quite nice. Old Segou, or Segou-Koro I think it was called, was beautiful and worth a motorbike ride to go see. But, damn, four days was two too many.
