Fish Ontogeny

I took a course named "Biology of Fishes" following the Lab Studies in Ichthyology (previous gallery), which took a more experimental approach. One study investigated the effect of temperature and oxygenation on the rates of heartbeat and opercular pumping in free embryos of Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) Fish were supplied by the Alma Aquaculture Research Station, Elmira, Ontario.
