I had been traveling and wanted a little light reading material. I stopped into a second hand store in a little town, and for a single dollar bill, I walked away with a delightful little book entitled, "A Pack of Two". Being somewhat doggie obsessed, this was a really quick read for me, as I couldn't put the book down. When traveling and I am away from my dog, my mind frequently wanders to the words between the covers of this little book. I cannot remember how the author phrased it precisely, but she was reminiscing about all of the things that were incredible about her dog. I was reading along and feeling that kinship that comes only when you realize that there are others who think the same way that you do. Yes, I look at the sheen on her coat, and I imagine that my dog is the most gorgeous dog alive. I do that too! It was then that the author came to the startling realization that she was, in fact, in love with her dog. Uhoh.... she nailed it. Me too.
My return flight to Seattle was uneventful, with the exception being an empty flight on the first leg which resulted in me sprawling across three seats for the duration. It was just awful. ;) The first item on my Seattle agenda was my little Frenchie, Tazziemodo. So, my dog and I have resumed our lives here in Seattle, and in this photo, you can see her efforts to help out around the house.... little doggie paw prints on my fresh paint. Gotta love her because good or bad, she and I are, in fact, a pack of two.
