A lovely little hike above Alta Lake...
I camped here quite a lot in my younger days,
and since this park is just 10 miles from my house,
this is a good little day hike for me.

The trail climbs quite rapidly up the flank of Billy Goat
Mountain, to a scenic viewpoint and then gives way to a
faint trail marked by occasional
rock cairns...

I'm assuming that the cairns continue to the summit of the peak
at around 4,000 feet elevation...

We ran out of time and had to turn around before hitting that mark...
