Yellowstone, a Trip of a Week or so

Having just finished my current contract, I had some time to kill and decided to take a 10 day trip to Yellowstone. I went north from Phoenix through Page, Bryce and then up to Yellowstone. I got 3 good days in Yellowstone (Very winter conditions) to photograph various wildlife and geological formations.

Within the winter months, the park is nearly empty with a limit of only 760 snowmobiles/day and various snow coaches allowed each day. You are also required to go in with a certified guide. I was lucky to have two very good guides for the three days that I entered the park.

It was fun.

Excellent gallery, Steven. Your morning shot in Bryce is as good as they come. I also enjoyed your wintry Yellowstone shots as I have just returned from there as well. Its a beautiful place, but it sure does offer difficult shooting situations. There's nothing more challenging than trying to shoot dark animals against a white, snowy landscape! The tours also require you to work as quickly as possible. You seem to have overcome these difficulties well. I'd like to see more of your work. As it is, you definitely get my vote. -Guy

Fabulous gallery. You captured Yellowstone beautifully in the winter. Great captures of the wolf, otters and eagles.
