I spent the evening at the Dale Chihuly exhibit (clickable link)
at the New York Botanical Gardens.
Thursday evenings this larger than life blown glass exhibit is illuminated.
While Chihuly works in bold and bright colors,
my challenge to myself was to try to make the art look as beautiful in black and white.
The figures shown here stood up to 10 feet tall and were flame red orange.
I kind of like them in Black and White, no?

Black and white, yes! You amaze me with every shot. Fabulous. Now back to grading...

Translated beautifully into b/w! Great toning, as usual!

I saw his exhibit in Colorado Springs a year ago. When I saw the thumb I thought of fire right away even though it was in black and white. Well done Liza.
