When I went camping as a kid, my folks would always caution...never drink water from a burn as you never know, there could be a dead sheep just upstream. Well this always struck a chord with me and I don't believe I ever did drink from a stream. So you can imagine I was a bit perturbed when I found this poor beastie at a favourite photo spot of mine on the banks of Loch Assynt. I was going to remove it in post-processing, but decided to leave it in as an example of how a sometimes cruel nature is stiil present in an otherwise idyllic location.
