The posts here are not dead trees, but the remains of anti-glider defences from WWII.
This area was known as "Scotland's Sahara" until the Culbin forest was planted to stabilise the massive dune system.
The image was taken from the edge of the forest looking north towards the Black Isle. A wilderness, still and a a fabulous place to walk.There is a clip in the following link from a BBC radio programme on the area http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00w163m
