30_Oct_2010 Girdleness Dawn

Aberdeen

Managed to get one worthwhile shot of a rather insipid daybreak.
Actually, the subdued tones have grown on me a bit since I took this
and I have come round to quite liking it....
now that I have lowered my expectations for that morning!!

Mmmm, I like this as well...the cool hues are really suggestive, but that sliver of warmth in the rising sun is a beautiful contrast...cracking work, Stewart!

Cool blue tones work well for me, a one you will look back on and like a lot once the expectations of the shoot ware off.

Hid that one Stewart! ... wonderful cold tones mixed with warm tones ... magical sheen on the foreground rocks and superb long exposure ... V

The cold blues in the rocks and water are the perfect foil to that streak of sunrise.

I like it - the depth of the pebbles leading the eye away into the picture, the muted tones - works well
