THE PHOTOGRAPHS
I mainly attempt landscapes with a bit of sport thrown in. I don't go in for much in the way of 'Image Manipulation' (digital or otherwise), I draw the line at ND Grads and then basic cropping, level and curves adjustments initially in Nikon Capture NX2 or, since Dec 2013, Lightroom.
Action wise I mainly photograph Horse Trials (aka Eventing) and Horse Racing, although I've dabbled in motorsport as well.
Initially my photography was almost entirely B&W. Between 1987 (leaving school) and 2005 (first DSLR) my interest in photography faded somewhat and although I took thousands of pictures in that time they were mostly 'snaps' on cheap lab print film.

THE KIT.
My main purchases listed below, mainly so I can remember when I bought things;
Mar 2005; Nikon D70 & 18-70 kit (D70 now given away)
Apr 2005; Nikon 70-300 ED (later sold to help fund Sigma 70-200 f2.8)
Jul 2007; Replacement Nikon 18-70 (first one broke)
Jul 2008; Sigma 70-200 f2.8
Feb 2009; Nikon D90
Jan 2010; Nikon 12-24 f4 (used, sold May 2012 to help fund FX wide angle zoom)
Mar 2011; Nikon 24-120 f4 VR
Feb 2012; Nikon D800 (took delivery April)
Jun 2012; Nikon 16-35 f4 VR
Nov 2013; Olympus E-PL3 and small tripod for overnight business trips and the like
Apr 2015; Nikon D7100 (Nikon Factory Refurb) and 3rd party grip
Apr 2019; Nikon 16-85 VR (used); gave 18-70 to my niece !

I also had a very cheap used Nikon 18-135 which I used with the D70 as the family snapshot kit, before giving that combination away. Also Manfrotto and Benro tripods and Manfrotto geared head, Lee ND Grads, ND and Polariser and more camera bags than I care to count !
