I saw a spur going in that direction while I was headed to the bottom of Moose Falls, but I forgot to check it out on my way back up.

Jim,

Actually, I was just pointing the camera at different areas and watching how the shutter speed changed according to where I tried to focus. Brighter vs Shaded areas. Just getting a feel for where the ISO needs to be in different situations. I am learning to look for critters in the shade and bump the ISO, that way I don't have weird shadows from their body parts if I am shooting during the middle of the day.

The more time I spend behind the camera, the more I am learning about light and high contrast situations and why all you shutter bugs are "chasing the light".
