Just a little cross at the top of a cliff on Bald Mountain Pass in the Uinta Mountains. I just liked all the colors. This was run through Neat Image and you lose the EXIF data. Here are the tech numbers 95mm, f/5,1/125sec, 800ISO.

As I look back on this picture one of the things I remember was that it was COLD! That's why My hands are in My pockets and if you look at My jawline you can almost see My teeth chattering.

Virgina, I do believe some young lady named Sara must have lost her life on the mountain road near this cliff. The memorial appeared to be a new one because the cross was not weathered and the artificial flowers had not yet faded in the sun. The wilted real flowers looked like they had been there a while though. Tucked behind the artificial flowers, not visible in the picture, were some cute little figurines that would have appealed to a little girl. I couldn't help but wonder who Sara was and felt a bit of sadness tug at My heart as I gazed down at her memorial. I can't imagine the pain one must feel when they lose a child and I hope I never have to experience that kind of sorrow.

Wes, I sure hope it is warmer for you up there than it was for Me! You can't see this in the picture, but the wind was blowing real hard and it was COLD up there! I suppose My hands in My pockets and My huddled posture could be a tip though. I was shivering so much I am surprised there is no motion blur.
