Wanda09_01_04.jpg

It is Wanda's Weird Wacky Wednesday again. OK this is just weird. People like to say how pretty her eyes are. I think it must be a matter of context. This is her left eye and I have always liked those little brown flecks. But this isn't a pretty eye. I think it must be how her eyes are framed that makes them pretty.
Bill

What Bill failed to mention is that I had been crying a lot just before this picture was taken. My favorite kitty in the world had been missing all day and I was worried about him. While out searching for him I got caught in an awful dust storm, if you look closely you can see in the whites of My eyes some of the sand that was still there! No wonder My eyes hurt so bad last night! This morning I am pleased to report that My kitty has come back home and once again My eyes are red and irritated from crying. Silly Me, cry when he is gone, cry when he comes home. Go figure.

regards to you all,

Wanda

Very nice detail, and image quality.
I ordered this lens, simple because I was so happy with the images have viewed on pbase.
It is supposed to arrive on Wed, so I intend to use it for my Wed photo of the day.. I actually have a photo a day idea, that I haven't seen anyone do. hmm... sweet.

Anyhow great image, I like it because I can see the detail captured in the Iris, Also the blood veins.. it's just amazing. I for 1 also need to get some umbrellas.. soon.

Looking at this image reminds Me of how bad My eyes were hurting that night! After crying all day and then having sand blown in My eyes, they were so irritated, sore and sensitive to the light I could hardly keep them open long enough for Bill to get the picture. It makes Me cringe just looking at this!

Very interesting reflections on the iris & I'm glad to hear that your precious kitty is safe at home with you.

It has all been said, but I want to add my hooray also.
Beyond the eye, I too like seeing the lighting setup! Nice lens Wm.

John, the Tamron 180f/3.5 Di Macro is one of the finest macro lenses made. It is very sharp and is able to capture extreme detail closeup. This is another Wanda PAD taken with this lenshttp://www.pbase.com/image/31610698 notice the fine hairs and finger prints. All the photos in my macro gallery were taken with this lenshttp://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/macro_nature

Not familiar with the lens you used. Is it a special one?

I am so glad your kitty came home. Scary but fantastic detail! I love the reflection of the lighting equipment, too. I am so glad your kitty came home.

I like how you can see the lighting set up in Wanda's pupil. I was thinking maybe the red in your eyes was from something NOT usual, Wanda.. it would have shown in other pics. Glad your kitty's back..

That is the coolest photo I have seen in ages, pretty neat being able to see your lighting setup as a bonus :). I don't think I have ever seen a eye photographed in that detail, totally wicked & your the bravest model on the planet Wanda.
