Wanda07_09_04a.jpg

Wanda, Elizabeth and I spent the afternoon working in the studio that is slowly developing in my basement. I added a third flash (Canon 420EX) as a hair light. For a snoot I used a little cardboard box that just fit. I like the results I'm beginning to get with my lights and I get more keeper images.

Wanda liked this image(gotta keep the models happy). I would have picked this one as our Picture a Day photo http://www.pbase.com/image/31150719 or this one as a close second http://www.pbase.com/image/31151206

I always get a chuckle out of Bill's comments when he mentions that he has to give Me MY way. He has learned that I AM easier to get along with when he does. (grin) Anyway, the reason I prefered this image to the ones with Liz was because it was a more accurate reflection of ME. After all, the PAD project is intended to help improve Bill's talent as well as document a day in the life of Me! On a hot summer day it's not unusual for Me to wear nothing but a pair of jeans and a bikini top while hanging out around the house. It's not often that I pose for pictures with Liz in such a manner that it gets the world to wondering just how close of friends we really are. (laffin) I generally prefer to plant that question in the minds of others when we are out dancing! (giggle)

Anyway, needless to say, Bill and I often have a difference of opinion when it comes to which images get posted and so far we have been pretty good at compromising without any bloodshed.

Thanks KyShadowRider, at times it is a tough job but I have this insane compulsion to do it. I hope I can get Wanda and Elizabeth to pose together...maybe outside...again sometime.

It was interesting adding a second person and seeing what adjustments needed to be made to the light setup. We took this on as a learning project and learn we have.

Thanks Bill for the Wanda/Elizabeth shots. I think the dramatic differences in their eyes makes a great shot. I too think that one of their shots together would have made a great PAD. I really like the shot where they are looking in the camera so you can see their eyes, but something about the other shot just makes me like it more. Seems like their skin has a little more shine. (lighting, maybe?). Would like to see more of these 2 together, perhaps others from this session or some like the original Liz shots, etc. Two beautiful women to photograph, (plus Brandy, etc), what a tough job you have!

Your lighting is really working well for just 3 small hot shoe flashes.
The next time you set up a shot like this, stand back and take a shot of the whole room so we can see where you are placing things relative to each other.
Lookin good Wanda! Love your shot with your best friend.
