Today Wanda hiked to the top of her mountain http://www.pbase.com/image/17629871

It is a rough rocky trail that climbs over 5000 feet in 4 and 1/2 miles. Coming back down is worse than going up. So she was soaking her feet tonight. This was the first climb to the top...well almost the top. A steep snow slide blocked the last few hundred feet. She climbs this mountain three or four times every summer.

I must be a bit of a masochist because every time I hike this mountain I come home nearly crippled! The last two hours on the way down are the most excrutiating! But the joy I feel when I reach the top and look out over the valley is worth every minute of pain I suffer during the hike. I just hope My knees will remain healthy enough over the years that I can continue to enjoy hiking to the top! It takes all day to get to the top and back down again but I can't think of a better way to spend a day.

Very nice 'Feetish' shot, Wanda! PERFECT form ... right over left and varnished nails! LOL
Did you take a picture of your feet on top of the mountain?
I don't have one of those in my collection yet! ... Guess I'll have to plan a trip!

Ouch! Such pretty feet shouldn't have to take a beating like that.

That will be me after my 4 day hike starting in a few days. My day consisted of 10 hrs of driving. At least my feet don't hurt.
