JRTE Reunion

The 50th Reunion of the Junior Recruit Training Establishment was held over the week of 12th to 16th of July 2010. With the dedication of the memorial on Tueday the 13th, the first time many had returned to HMAS Leeuwin, now known as Leeuwin Barracks.

My Intake , Ramsey/Stevenson 55th padded through the gate on 20/04/76 as scrawning scared 15/16 yrs olds and left one year later as 16/17 yr old Jack tars ready and willing to take on the sea going roles that they had trained for.

Hey Guys I was in the the 71st intake of April 1980 as part of Stevenson Division. Went on to being a Gunbuster and a CPOETW on FFG's. I did 24 years. Good times and good memories.
