All race seats Recaro build starting in 1969 had head-rests or provisions for a head-rest. Often times, race cars used these seats without a head-rest. The only race seat that Recaro produced without any provision for a head-rest was the one shown in this photo. The seat is a Recaro "Rallye Bitter" and was only produced in 1967-68 and never used in a RSR. I have an original booklet from Recaro (1973) where you see the seats in pictures.
