Backcountry Flyer

This gallery is an opportunity to share with our friends who can't be in the seat next to us, some of the freedom we have been fortunate to enjoy as we fly the backcountry of North America. As you may see in a couple of the images, I've made my living flying around the world in airplanes that hold more people than some of the small towns we visit. But flying that "Big Iron" doesn't compare to the freedom we find as we fly the silver Cessna 180, and the 1946 Aeronca Champ, which was a gift from my Dad forty years ago, and which ultimately opened the door to a great adventure.

Mike, I never tire of looking at wonderful photographs of your adventures. We all enjoyed the good times in the Idaho Backcountry and we are so lucky we hold those memories. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

A great collection of some true work horses doing what they do best. I used to get around abit up near Fairbanks AK by similar means. Brings back good memories. Thanks for the nice gallery. Happy tailwinds
