The Whale and the Pup

Optics: CPC1100 at f6.3 (Celestron reducer) on a Milburn Wedge
Camera: QHY8
Image scale: 0.89 arcsec/pixel, reduced to 50% for presentation
Exposure: 13 x 15 minutes
Guiding: PHD Guiding, using a DSI II Pro on a Taurus Tracker III off axis guider. Dithering performed with Nebulosity 2.
Date: March 1, 2011
Processing: Stacked with Deep Sky Stacker, post-processed with Photoshop CS2.

This imaging sequence was managed with Sequence Generator, which controls Nebulosity and PHD. There was some very slight trailing in right ascension, which doesn't really show at this scale. The Pup is NGC 4627.
