LAS VINAS - Spain

LAS VINAS

The reserve Las Viñas is located in the village of Acehuche in the province of Caceres. This enclave is surrounded by the waters of the Tagus river and the Rivera de Fresnedosa. It is a unique place where a huge variety of animal and plant species can be found.
Thanks to the presence of many farms, large numbers of raptors are concentrated here, including black vultures, griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures and kites.
The Reserve Las Vinas has an area of 12 hectares and is provided with 4 hides dedicated to wild nature photography. Two are drinking hides that attract a large number of species throughout the year, such as the Rufous-tailed scrub robin, the Orphean warbler, shrikes and orioles.
The third hide is the perfect spot for carrions, with a gorgeous perspective to take photos of vultures, crows and kites in flight while they get here in astounding numbers and get unbelievably close to the hide.
The fourth hide will be ready in 2017 and is dedicated to the golden eagle. This structure cradled among the rocks was turned into a between the rocks between the rock has become the perfect appealing to mangoose, badgers, foxes, booted eagles, kites, black vultures, griffon vultures, crows and last but not least the crown jewel, the golden eagle
