 Lightning is a hard one to catch. I spent a good 45 minutes waiting for this bolt to hit. There was a blackout at Fort Dix and that helped to keep the landscape dark while I held the shutter open.

I did my Basic Training and AIT at Ft. Leonard Wood too. I served from 1967 to 1971. Got stationed in Munich, Germany for all the time I served. The funny thing....: my home town is Waynesville, Missouri just outside of the main gate after St. Roberts. I stayed in Munich, Germany after I got out of the army in 1971.

It would be nice if we could get our Vietnam Vets in here. Robert Underwood, Glenn Washington (who never came home), and Gilbert of 62st USMC along with others I can't remember at this time.
