MY FATHER WOULD DRINK BALLANTINE BEER AND BALLANTINE ALE WHILE HE WATCHED THE DODGERS PLAY, I WOULD ROOT FOR GINO SOMOLLI AND HE WOULD CALL HIM A BUM.

Love the pics of the old Brooklyn Dodgers!! Back in the fifties my dad loved the yankees and the Dodgers. On sunday he would have the old back and white 10 inch screen on with the green magnifing glass on it to make the picture look bigger. The picture was always green and distorted, but it was bigger!!LOLOL!! Anyway , he would watch the Yankee games on the tv and would have the radio on in the kitchen to hear the Dodgers game. It was funny watching my dad run from the kitchen to the living room and back each time the crowd yelled out so he wouldn't miss any of the action!!!

Enjoyed your Dodgers very much. When I was 10-12 years old I was a member of The Knothole Gang and could get in all the Douglas, Ga., Trojans games for $2 a year. That was about 1950-52; the Trojans were a Class D professional team and gave much entertainment for the folks of south Georgia. Thanks again. Julian Williams.
